We are Susy and Jimmy. We have been involved with seniors for many years in our respective careers as well as in our private lives. We like to help people and to take care of them.
This is in fact the very essence of our commitment.
Our combined experience as residence owners and managers in the senior facilities network has made us realize that the senior residence service offer does not meet all the needs and expectations of seniors and adults living in autonomy-limiting situations.
This realization was one of the triggers for creating our home and health care services business.
It was becoming imperative to improve the current service offer by setting up other services that would provide an additional choice to customers: the possibility of remaining at home as long as possible.
How can we meet the needs of the people of Saguenay and the North Shore? By providing home and health care services.
We prefer to pair the same customer with the same employee. This value ensures that a bond of trust develops between our customers and our employees. Welcoming a person into one’s home and one’s privacy is not an easy thing.
We want to create a close relationship of tangible well-being in which our customers are comfortable receiving intimate care, such as bathing and all the hygiene care required for their comfort.
We also stand out by doing little private and personal things for our seniors and meeting requests which may seem odd but which are important to them. One of our Caregiver took charge of looking after a pet because this had become too complex for a customer.
She made sure that the litter box was changed, that the food dish was filled once a day and that the cat had fresh water. This small but special attention has given our customer tremendous peace of mind and has allowed her to keep this long-time companion with her in her daily life.
We are proud of the fact that we constantly follow up with our customers and their families to ensure that we are adequately meeting their needs and expectations. Whether this is done by email, a visit or asking our employees, we want to know the quality of our services so that we can plan adjustments as required.
We make it a point to respond quickly to requests and implement our services, whether by following up with the network sponsor, a family member, the individual or his or her sponsor.
We currently have three teams – in Chicoutimi, Sept-Îles and Baie-Comeau – and are very proud of all of them!
Our employees are people who choose us as much as we choose them. Our meeting is based on a mutual sharing of what we are looking for in an employee and the work environment they are looking for. We share the human values that are important to us.
Competence, availability, respect, benevolence and commitment must be clearly felt during our exchanges.
We ensure that our staff have the necessary qualifications to carry out the mandates entrusted to them.
We proceed by pairing, i.e., we offer each mandate we receive to the employee who best fulfils the criteria for the requested task.
The employee is free to accept this new mandate and, if he or she does, we can be confident from the start of his or her buy-in and desire to meet the needs expressed by our customer.
Our employees are happy to have control over their schedules and to be able to choose their mandates.
We prioritize quality time with all our customers and designate an employee to each of them in order to establish a close and sincere relationship between them.
As an employer, we provide support to our teams.
We listen to them and our role is to ensure that they are able to carry out their tasks by making sure they have the necessary skills, providing appropriate training and being there to answer their questions.
We supervise and support our staff throughout their active mandates. We value constant communication and are available to them when needed.
